About our insulation contractor business in Roswell

How I got into insulation
I got my start as a helper on a small insulation crew, hauling bags and running the hose, and I learned the trade by asking the guys more questions than they probably wanted to answer. I started this business here in Roswell in 2013, and I still answer the phone myself, so the person you talk to is the person who'll come look at your house.
Most of our calls come from homeowners with a hot upstairs, a drafty back room or a power bill that keeps climbing, plus landlords and business owners whose buildings run too hot or too cold. Out here in the Pecos Valley we see both ends of that, so I want you to understand your own house. If you know why each step matters, you can judge any bid, mine included. We're based in Roswell and work across the area, including Artesia and other cities nearby. You can see the work we do on our home page, or tell us what's going on through our contact page.
What it's like to work with us
You see what we see
Before we talk about fixing anything, I walk you through what's going on in your attic, walls or crawl space. It's a lot like a mechanic showing you the worn part instead of just handing you a bill.
The owner writes your estimate
I come out to look at your job myself and write the estimate, so you're dealing with someone who learned this work from the ground up. Our installers do the job, and when they're done I go over the finished work with you.
Problems get fixed before insulation goes in
We look for leaks, old wiring and insulation that's been soaked or full of droppings, because new material laid over a problem just hides it. If something needs fixing first, you'll hear about it at the estimate.
Permits checked for your job
We check with the right office about permits for your job, whether that's the city's Building Inspection office or the state, which now handles electrical permits. We go over what we learned at the estimate and take care of the permit when one is needed.
How we go about the work
Questions first
We start by asking what you've noticed, like cold floors or a hot room over the garage, because that tells us where to look.
Look before quoting
We get up in the attic or down in the crawl space and check how many inches are already there before we put anything on paper.
Plain answers
We explain trade words like R-value, which is how well insulation slows heat, so you can compare our bid with anyone else's.
Seal, then insulate
We close the gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch first, because insulation can't do its job with a draft blowing through it.
Respect your home
We treat your house like somebody lives there, because somebody does, so we protect your floors, keep the mess contained and clean up before we leave.
